Petition to Chevron
Please sign our petition and let your voice as a consumer be heard.
This petition will be sent to Chevron Corp. in increments of at least 100 signatures, so they will see the growing number of people who are concerned by their lack of responsibility.
Let’s boycott Chevron until they take responsibility for their actions!!
We, the undersigned feel that Texaco's actions in Ecuador were reprehensible both to the individuals who lived in the area and to the eco-system itself. Gross damage has been caused to the environment and human health, and both continue to be serious problems.
We cannot in good conscious support a corporation that refuses to accept responsibility for its actions, so we will not be purchasing gasoline or anything else from Chevron-Texaco stations until the corporation is willing to settle, or accept the decision of the court in Ecuador. This would mean assisting with the clean-up of the rainforest, and paying damages to individuals with health problems.
As a giant American corporation (2nd largest oil company in the US), Chevron should choose to lead by example and take responsibility for its mistakes of the past.
Thank you.
