Dirty Oil in Ecuador: Living with Chevron-Texaco’s legacy

Ecuadorians vs Chevron Texaco

They say a picture is worth a 1000 words.  This striking photo by Josh Schachter is worth a lot more than that!

Living with the mess Texaco left behind

Living with the mess Texaco left behind

We can’t help but feel sorry for this poor child who lives in a world inundated by the mess left behind by Texaco. This photo dramatically encapsulates the reality for tens of thousands of Ecuadorians living with this dirty legacy left behind by Texaco (now Chevron).

The hope of concerned responsible global citizens around the world is that Chevron will assist with a proper clean-up of the area and to assist those individuals whose lives and health have been seriously affected by this environmental disaster, often called the ‘Chernobyl of the Amazon’.

If you agree and want to get the message out to Chevron, please sign our petition.

Special thanks to Josh, an amazing photographer, for taking this wonderful photo.  Click here to visit his site.

I am so glad people are starting to pay attention to this. We cannot let Chevron get away with this! People are dying! Instead of wasting money on attorneys and trying to cover up its own mess, Chevron should help those people and clean up that mess.
