James Cameron sensible on Oil Sands
During his recent visit to the tar sands in Alberta, James Cameron had lot to say and made a lot of sense. In fact, I share a lot of the views he expressed. We are all dependent on oil / petrol, for our cars, to heat our homes to transport our food and goods that we rely on everyday. We must increase the shift to greener technologies as fast as we can, to reduce our dependency on oil. We must also be realistic that we will continue to rely on oil for years to come, and the tar sands deposit in Alberta, being the second largest deposit on the planet, will play a key role in our energy supply in the years to come.

Alberta Oil Sands – heavy metals pollute the watershed
The ad campaigns and publicity thrown out are nothing more than spin to make us think that the Alberta Oil sands are not so bad. Don’t be fooled. It is DIRTY oil, that we as consumers can’t help but consume. And it ruins Canada’s image in the eyes of environmentalists the world over.

Alberta Oil Sands – Irresponsible & Dirty Oil
The more that I learn about the Oil Sands in Northern Alberta Canada, the more I realize how stupid it is to extract this oil… While the appeal of its exploitation is obvious and easy, it is time that we make some smarter and tougher decisions. We need to make more responsible choices for our planet and future generations. We need to invest in renewable and clean energy sources, and not subsidize this pool of the dirtiest oil on the planet.
