Alberta Oil Sands, Environmental Issues

The ad campaigns and publicity thrown out are nothing more than spin to make us think that the Alberta Oil sands are not so bad.  Don’t be fooled.  It is DIRTY oil, that we as consumers can’t help but consume.  And it ruins Canada’s image in the eyes of environmentalists the world over.

The most recent study has found that the oil sands does in fact pollute and affect its watershed… heavy metals such as copper, lead, mercury, nickel, silver and zinc are more prominent than is considered safe in the Athabasca watershed.  Is it really a surprise?  Of course not!!

Take a stand and Speak out against expanding oil sands operations!!
